PAINtalks 2019

The fourth edition of PAINtalks from the Quebec Network of Junior Pain Investigators (QNJPI) which took place in Montreal (Amphitheater Gesù), on November 23rd, 2019, was a great success!

PAINtalks is a free and open to all event inspired by TED-style presentations and aims to provide the audience with conferences focused on the field of pain.

We heard excellent presentations from 5 QNJPI student-members, one member of the Association québécoise de douleur chronique, two special speakers from the Canadian Pain Society and the North American Pain School (NAPS), as well as 2 guest speakers. The evaluation methods to select speakers from QNJPI, AQDC, CPS and NAPS networks are available on the “Evaluation” tab.

Again, eligible QNJPI-member speakers had the chance to earn a spot at the prestigious NAPS 2020! The evaluation methods to select the winner are available on the “Evaluation” tab.

This year, since the event is bilingual, a translation service was offered.

The master of ceremonies of the evening was the Quebec actor Stéphane Crête! Known for his role in the movie Dans une galaxie près de chez vous, he has also appeared in several other movies and TV shows, some of which have earned him Gémeaux Awards.

Finally, the evening ended with a casual cocktail where everyone had the opportunity to meet and interact with the speakers.

You can look at the speakers’ videos, available on our Youtube channel, with this link:
