25th Annual McGill Pain Day

Dear Members and Trainees,

Pain Day is rapidly approaching: January 21st, 2021!

As it is a virtual event, registration is essential so that we can keep you informed regarding meeting links. Please register via our Survey Monkey page by January 15th!

For details on this year’s event, please see the attached PDF poster. We would like to congratulate Sam Zhou for his design, and would like to thank everyone who submitted designs to the competition for their time and effort.

Please note that this year’s activities start at 10:00 am with the Trainee’s Workshop and end at 3:00 pm with our Awards Ceremony.

This year’s Trainee Poster Competition will be different. Instead of posters, it will be organized as a series of oral presentations via Zoom. When preparing your presentation, please note that there is no specific format being set. Ten minutes will be allocated to each presenter, 7 min for their presentation and 3 min for follow-up questions by the judges. More details on the presentation rules and requirements will be distributed in the New Year.

To participate in the oral presentations, you must send an abstract (Word format) to: paindaymcgill@gmail.com by January 8th, 2021.  The abstract should contain the following:

·         The title for your presentation;

·         A list of authors and their affiliations

·         A 200 word (max) abstract

·         Indicate the Competition into which you wish to be entered (Basic or Human/Clinical)

Prizes are presented by QPRN, and the competition is open to all trainees (undergrad, grad, PDF, resident) who are enrolled in an appropriate training program in Quebec. Please note: we will not be able to allow non-trainees (faculty, clinical personnel not in training, RAs) to present their work in this year’s event, as we will not be able to host an “out of competition” session.

Best of luck to everyone!
